24 There are some ponts we have to make very clear here.

In English, the TIME creates the TENSE. Because of this, every verb needs a Time Marker, as the manifestation of TIME 

  • either in the Sentence,
  • or in the Paragraph,
  • or in the Story,
  • or in our Culture,
  • or in History. 

In the following pages, the colours of the cubes that represent the three dimensions, i. e. Time, Aspect, and Phase, does not have absolute significance as in the Colour Scheme of 'Bitter Honey'; they are here only to show the different characters behind the similar names of the 12 Tenses.

The numbered sentences are from the New Cheese Test 2019.
