New Cheese Test Invite
I have been using the Cheese Test ever since 25 years ago. The main idea in this test is that it makes the hierarchy of the mistakes visible, and points directly to the most urgent jobs to attend to re the correction of those mistakes in the brain.
For that end, the answers are arranged in 12 levels in a pyramid format and the mistakes are shown as if they were the holes in a piece of cheese.
Students in my school do the test in 35 to 40 minutes and we make a screenshot of the result as you can see it in the top corner on this page.
The mistakes come from the brain and the non-blaming - cathartic - catalytic correction must be done on the brain as well. It is only possible if the student understands why the bad choices are bad, and why the good choices are good.
If the student is looking for the good choices during the test, there is a tendency that they will fall into a psychological trap, called tunnel vision.
The first option they will think of as good will prevent them form looking at all the other options with the same intensity and with suspended judgement.
This is exactly what we want to avoid when we talk about all the points, having a reversed preference in mind, and we just do not go on until all the WHY QUESTIONS are answered for full understanding.
We dare to go slowly because it is important rather than urgent. Time is just not one of the dimensions in learning.
The first 25 years of the Cheese Test are gone and now it is high time we turned a new page.
From the 1st January 2019, I'm going to create a New Cheese Test, for a whole year, with the speed of one test point per day. It will be shown in a new blog, next door to this, and I'm going to discuss each and every test-point with a student and then share it with you all.
For the first two weeks, the students will come from my pool, but after that it will be free for all registered students, i. e. registered on my home page. Catch as catch can.
So, if you are a STUDENT, just come along, register and volunteer for a point or two.
If you are a TEACHER, send your students along.
If you are a PARENT, do not send your APPLE OF THE EYE here; Just let them come.
